Probably the most recognizable Thunderbird model of all time. 1956 saw the lowest production number for this generation Thunderbird at only 15,631 units. This car, although not restored, it is one of those great unmolested vehicle’s and driving down the street it gives the appearance of a restored car. Up close it has a little Patina to some areas, not scruffy but worn appropriately for its age. The engine bay is nicely detailed with polished valve covers and chrome air cleaner. The history on the car is very good with the most recent owner acquiring it from the daughter of the original purchaser. The Equipment on the car includes the Hard Top, Ford-O-Matic transmission, power steering, engine dress up kit, tinted glass, fender skirts, wheel covers, working AM Town and Country radio, heater and defroster, windshield washers and turn signals. It also has a Continental Kit on it. The body tag reads: Body 40A; Paint E; Trim XA; Production Code 11FBX920. Powered by the 312 cubic inch V8 and 4-barrel carburetor coupled to an automatic transmission. Originally rated at 225 horsepower. Finished in its original colour combination, Colonial White with a Black and White interior and a White Porthole Hard Top.
